== Executive Summary == <div id="h1-1-siblings" class="h1-siblings"></div> '''Chapter 3 assesses the emissions pathways literature in order to identify their key characteristics (both in commonalities and differences) and to understand how societal choices may steer the system into a particular direction''' '''(''' '''''high confidence''''' ''')''' '''''.'''''
